The different positions of the crown
The crown of automatic watches generally has 3 positions:
- Position 1: Winding
- Position 2: Date change (seconds hand still running)
- Position 3: Time change (seconds hand stopped)
How to wind the watch?
To wind your watch in the rules of the art and in respect of what you have in your hands, it's simple:
- Go to the normal position of the crown.
- Twist it between your thumb and index finger up (clockwise, handy!)
- Perform around thirty laps to completely wind your watch.
